Want to have a good practice.

Want to be run highly effective and productive practices? Focus on these:

  1. PLAN your practices !   (too many coaches just wing it...)
  2. Have an objective and a purpose for every drill
  3. Doing reps for the sake of reps is useless, you want quality, focused, game-like reps
  4. Adapt your coaching style to individuals when instructing
  5. Arrive early and set your practice BEFORE your athletes arrive (so you can be available to build rapport)
  6. Use positive reinforcement
  7. Find the line between being competitive but also laid back
  8. Emphasizes hard work
  9. Have variety and innovative drills
  10. Encourages athletes to be themselves and let them fail if they work hard, that's how you get better
